Our Story

Unlock the Memories products are created by Lynmarie M. Nero and Shelly Z. Wald.

Lynmarie's love for the elderly has motivated her to create a program that improves the Quality of Life of our ever-growing senior population. Having the privilege of being around many senior family members and recognizing that their past experiences and insight are invaluable, has encouraged her to develop a program that is not only beneficial to their mental health, but also provides them a nonthreatening environment to share their treasured memories. This along with a background in teaching computer programs began the story of Unlock the Memories.

Shelly graduated from Boston University and received a degree in Occupational Therapy. She has worked in rehabilitation, acute care, hand therapy, pediatrics and geriatrics over the past 20 years. Her appreciation for improving one's overall health is what has made her very passionate about the products of Unlock the Memories. Shelly has presented at the AOTA annual conference and has lectured at the local universities and throughout Western New York.
